of atrial fibrillation (AF), valvular heart surgery, chronic renal failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary condition, rheumatic heart disease, reduced left ventricular ejection fraction, diabetes mellitus, and advanced age have been identified to accelerate the incidence of PoAF (George, et al., 2018).
