The second meta-analysis revealed strong average effects for the leadership dimension involving promoting and participating in teacher learning and development and moderate effects for the dimensions concerned with goal setting and planning, coordinating, and evaluating teaching and the curriculum." These ideas are showing how this approach will address a number of changes inside an educational environment. (Robinson, 2008, pp. 635 -- 674)

Describe the technology-based plan you previously developed to facilitate the change (or part of the change) identified.

To help improve learning comprehension there will be a focus on using technology in the classroom and as a tool for collaboration. This is when different computers and audio visual aids will provide students with alternative forms of learning the concepts presented. Moreover, this will allow them to see how these ideas can be used in the real world. Once this takes place, is when their understanding of the material will improve by reaching out to different learning styles and explaining how this can be utilized. (Turney, 2009, pp. 71 -- 83)

At the same time, technology can be used to communicate between different stakeholders. During this process, is when there will be a focus on talking about those issues that are impacting the school and possible challenges. Furthermore, these solutions can help to show the results of the strategy and provide a way for different stakeholders to meet via teleconferencing. When this kind of approach is used, everyone can track and discuss their views in an open format. This will help to create strategies that will effectively monitor the plan that has been introduced. (Watson, 2009, pp. 25 -- 34)

Describe the mental models that exist in your school or district and provide at least two strategies for either changing existing mental models or using them to strengthen your plan for change.

The basic type of model that is used in the school is the systems approach.
This is where the administration will provide guidance and direction with a top down strategy. For educators, this makes it difficult to come up with their own techniques that are beyond these basic guidelines. This is challenging for most people, as they have little amounts of flexibility in addressing these issues. Two possible strategies for changing this approach are: to communicate with stakeholders about how the status quo is not working and demonstrate other philosophies that have been utilized elsewhere. The first idea can be accomplished through looking at: potential problems and their long-term impact on the school. It is at this point that educators will see the need to change (which lead to a transformation in the environment). (Lidwell, 2010, pg. 1654)

A second technique is to show how other schools were successful using these strategies. The current budgetary issues will force everyone to look at these solutions. The fact that they are improving education and do not require additional funds, will push stakeholders to begin embracing these different objectives. (Lidwell, 2010, pg. 1654)

Conclusion

Clearly, leadership change inside an educational environment will require dedicated teachers taking the initiative. This means that they must use transformational techniques in conjunction with technology to improve communication and collaboration. At the same time, there must be an emphasis on having a way of adjusting to any kind of new challenges. If this kind of approach can be used, it will help schools to be able to meet the general guidelines from the state and federal government. At the same time, they will reach out to students in a format that will improve learning comprehension. This is when they are addressing the issues impacting the school by providing solutions that allow the organization to adapt. Over the course of time, this will help everyone to be able to think creatively in dealing with these problems. This is the point.....
