Some of the safety measures to be taken in the kitchen are the following: the person cooking stay in the kitchen while cooking, however, if the person has to leave, then the cooking gas must be turned off or reduced to a small flame and the person must return as quickly as possible to the kitchen. Any objects that may catch fire, like plastic bags or paper towels, etc. must be kept out of reach of the fire, and cigarette butts must be doused and put off before being put into the trash. The dress to be worn in the kitchen must not be loose fitting, especially near the sleeves, because there is a danger that the sleeve will catch fire while cooking.
In the same way, when storing poisonous substances within the kitchen or the bathroom, certain safety measures must be strictly undertaken so that there would not be any danger to the unwary. All poisons must be stored within their original containers, and all types of pesticides and insecticides and medicines must be kept under lock and key, and very importantly, must be kept out of reach of young children.
