The way the sculptor created shapes inside the shape itself make the light on the sculpture change and alter throughout the day, casting shadows here and there in random patterns. It makes the sculpture more interesting and effective, I think.

It is also interesting that the statue does not have any arms. In this, it is like the ancient statue of Venus, that is missing its arms, and that ties the old and the new together in this work. It is interesting to see how other people create art and what shapes and colors they see in their art, and this piece is interesting, 3-dimensional, and very representative of Robert Cole's modern art vision.
