Sociological Perspective
The sociological perspective is a perspective on how human activity and behavior relates to society. By looking at the relationship between individuals and social structures, the sociological perspective emerges as one that identifies functions, conflicts and interactions within society and among people. In other words, the sociological perspective allows researchers to see how people and society relate to one another, what connects them, what drives them, and what shapes their evolution.

Relationship Trends
Abstract
This paper looks at relationship trends in the U.S. from a sociological perspective, using feminist political stance as a way to explain the transformation from traditional family norms of the early 20th century to the mixture of families today. Today, single parenting is the new norm as half of all marriages end in divorce. More and more people are going unwed and not having children as well. The population is aging and there are effects to all these factors that are discussed as well. The pros and cons of these trends are examined and described.

Approaching the Kent State University protest and shooting from a sociological perspective enables greater understanding of how to conceptualize the event historically. In this article, the author evaluates several theories of collective behavior including structural conduciveness, structural strain, and mobilization to help historians apply lessons learned from Kent to possible future issues involving the potential use of social control during political dissent.
