It would be absurd for someone to consider that the connection between race and biology means that individuals belonging to particular races are superior when compared to individuals belonging to other racial groups. In contrast, racism is actually a problem and it is presently the reason for numerous conflicts. In spite of the fact that race is not an important biological concept, race is a social category and it practically determines the degree to which some individuals are more privileged than others.

The concept of race as an element that can be used as a motive for discrimination still exists today principally because of humanity's past. It is difficult for people to refrain from employing prejudice in a society dominated by stereotypes.
