There is enough evidence to suggest that taking steroids causes significant health problems that limit longevity, and taking too many at a time can kill.

Steroids are popular almost exclusively among athletes and body builders (DEA). Statistics show that less than two percent of high school students use steroids, while the perceived risk of steroid use has risen dramatically in recent years (ONDCP).
