They discuss the trend agribusinesses are jumping on to provide consumers with fewer natural food products and more and more processed food products during the 20th century.

The article begins by summarizing the changes that have occurred in the supply and demand for food over the last two decades. According to the article, in times of old the food demanded from agribusiness suppliers were unprepared staples that individuals could cook in their own kitchens. This included products such as beef, pork and poultry.
