Surgical Assisting

The surgical assistant is an integral member of the health care surgical team. Assisting is in fact a growing profession, one that I am enthusiast about participating in. The surgical assistant is responsible for possessing the knowledge and skills to capably and efficiently assist the surgeon and other team members to assure the best possible outcome for a patient. To do this a surgical assistant has to have advanced knowledge of the techniques necessary to function effectively in a surgical setting. It is my desire to gain this knowledge through your program.

The health of the patient depends in part on the surgical assistant's ability to function effectively and with a high degree of competency. To accomplish this successfully a surgical assistant must be possessed of certain key personality traits.
