More and more materials and equipments are now present on hospitals and clinics. Furthermore, lots of medicines, such as vitamins, antibiotics, and the likes have been developed that enhances the life, the immune system and the way the people live. Unlike before, the medicines and the medical equipments are very limited. That is why, people back then do not have enough supplements for their body, or do not have the capabilities to prolong their lives because of the inexistence of the said breakthroughs. Having not to worry anymore about lowered immune system is extremely lesser stress.

The similarity on this aspect lies on the fact that people then and now are both conscious to health and lifestyle. This is the very reason why people in the past and people of today's generation do exercises and maintain good eating habits. These are the natural ways of maintaining healthy living. With or without the medical and science breakthroughs, people have maintained the focus on eating the right stuffs and at the right amount. More over, the use of herbal medicine are still being used today, just like what the people used to do in the past. This just shows that when it comes to medicine and health, there are some differences and similarities, yet they are all focused to maintaining a good way of life for man.

Another difference in the way of life between then and now is the existence of home appliances such as the new cooking technologies that enables the people to cook and/or prepare foods in lesser time. Preparation of food, may it be for a few numbers of people or for large audiences is stressful and quite time consuming.

Having to cook for numbers of people was considered a tremendous task way back then. It is because pieces of woods or charcoals were the only means of cooking during the early years or olden years. but, it is still the same when it comes to preparation. Cooking styles and the recipes used then and now are still very much the same.

However now, there are gas ranges, oven and other electrical equipments which do not require too much hard work. This is one of the biggest differences when it comes to working in the kitchen. The presence of such technology makes the seemingly hard task of cooking becomes easier.

Indeed, the quality of life during those olden times is a bit different to how it is now. It can be said that the level of stress that people used to meet also becomes lesser because of the availability of support equipments.
