Trace the development of bipolar through all three structures of your memory, according to the Dual Store Model. At each stage, give the verbal or visual stimulus and the cognitive processing for transferring information between stages.

The Dual Store Model of memory, also known as the Multi-Store Model, was first proposed by Richard Atkinson and Richard Shiffrin in 1968 and holds that memory formation and storage is comprised of a series of stores. These stores were termed Sensory Memory, Short-Term Memory and Long-Term Memory and were used to describe the flow of information through the brain's memory storage system. The totality of information we experience moment by moment, what we see, smell and hear, is instantaneously detected and forgotten, unless it the stimuli is paid further attention.
