Mass Causality Incident at Travis Scott Concert


The Travis Scott concert tragedy of November 5, 2021, is one of the latest mass causality incidents. According to Patel and Kasakove (202, the Houston Astroworld festival hosted 50000 people and turned tragic when fans surged the stage to witness Scott\'s performance. The result was ten deaths and more than 300 injuries. The authors report that hospitals handled more than 25 emergency cases within minutes.
The incident resulted in emotional torture among the victims and their relatives, and Patel and Kasakove report that a series of lawsuits have been filed to seek justice. It was traumatizing to learn about victims\' death as young as nine years. One can imagine the helplessness and fear among such a young audience. According to Valinsky (2021) a statement from Live Nation, the event organizer read \"heartbroken for those lost and impacted at Astroworld last night,\" depicting the intense emotions attached to the mass causality. Valinsky also adds that there have been intense financial obligations linked to the incident as families endeavor to get justice.
