Even with that, considering present day conditions in the U.S. And across the world, it would be absurd to ignore the nation's defects.

The fact that he did not put across any concern about changing matters regarding the War of Terror is however likely to bring on a series of critiques, with many Americans having lost their interest in supporting the conflict. Obama partly recovered for his involvement in the Middle East through his specific claim that he intends to fight any nation or individual that displays any signs of wanting to pursue or make use of nuclear weapons.

President Obama had apparently used a less featureless style precisely because he did not want to make the same mistakes like those before him. Many previous presidents were concerned about the effect their words will have on the audience and thus refrained from touching sensible topics, even if those respective subjects were a matter of national importance.
In contrast, Obama chose to be less passive and discussed topics like restructuring the federal government, and reducing the costs related to programs like Medicare and Medicaid. These subjects most probably triggered waves of irritation among simple people in the U.S. And among those working for the Federal Government.

All things considered, one of Obama's main intentions in issuing the 2011 State of the Union Address is to reform the American system so as for it to be less vulnerable to being left behind by the country's competitors......
