walking in the park a few days ago, in a gloomy weather, and had the inspiration (or not) of stopping near a playground. I have always liked children and thought this would bring me somehow out of the general negative state I have been having for several days.

The playground had something out of the ordinary, but I could not actually pinpoint it. The kids were running around as usual, there were the same green swings, the same yellow sand, but somehow I was feeling that somewhat was about to draw my attention in an unexpected way.

However, I chose to avoid whatever was pulling me closer and whatever made me look and I glanced around the playground. Dogs... I had almost forgotten dogs were almost a permanent presence here. For some reason, I was less fond of dogs, maybe because of a less fortune experience I had had with one when I was smaller or maybe because they left their excrements everywhere and there was nothing less pleasant than stepping in one.

Then, while watching a marvelous Labrador, I saw a mother and her four-year-old daughter, and I knew from the start that this was what was drawing my entire attention.
It wasn't the way they were dressed. Indeed, nothing out of the ordinary: the mother had a long green skirt and a yellow sweater, with a black overcoat. A funny blend, I thought...The daughter had everything a four-year-old should have: life, enthusiasm and exuberance. However, the mother had tears in her eyes and, for some reason, I had the impression I was the only one that could actually notice them Part 2

The entire thing was strange, especially the contrast….....
