Right to Have Published Book in Public Library

When responding to whether a homosexual should have his book removed from a community's public library, significantly more people from the 57- to 90-year-old group felt the book should be removed than did other groups (Table 4). Over one-half of the oldest group thought the book should be removed, but less than one-third of other groups had the same opinion.

Morality of Same Sex Relations

When asked about the morality of sexual relations between two adults of the same sex, most people felt that it was always wrong (Tables 5 and 6). However, there was a stark difference between those of the oldest group and those of other groups. Few (11.0 to 12.3%) of the oldest group felt that it was not wrong at all, but at least 20% (to about 30%) of the other two groups felt that homosexual sex was wrong.
