When that bigger pile of saved and working money comes back to you after your certificate of deposit matures, you could simply turn around and invest in another. or, mire than likely, the economic situation will have made a turn for the better in the next several years, and the money you have saved and earned can be used to reinvest in even more lucrative ventures, ensuring a nice home in the near future and financial security -- as much as that can be had -- for the rest of your life.

It all starts by heading to your local bank and asking to open a certificate of deposit account, or even simply asking for a brochure detailing basic plans (interest rates change often enough that they probably aren't on printed material).
