He is hurting from being blame for this crime, however in Antigone, he falsely accuses people. He becomes heartless between both stories due to the personal experience he went through, which made him a different character in each one.

King Creon decrees that Polynices the traitor is not to be buried, but his sister Antigone defies the order. She is caught, and sentenced by Creon to be buried alive - even though she is betrothed to his son Haemon. After the blind prophet Tiresias proves that the gods are on Antigone's side, Creon changes his mind - but too late. He goes first to bury Polynices, but Antigone has already hanged herself. When Creon arrives at the tomb, Haemon attacks him and then kills himself. When the news of their death is reported, Creon's wife Eurydice takes her own life. Conclusion

From there, Creon learns nothing from Oedipus's mistakes such as accusing people falsely and using poor judgment because he trusted no one who tried to help him even his own son. From this he loses everything that is important because he refuses to take any advice and comprise. Finally, he does learn that he has to be willing to admit his mistakes and correct them, which means he should not have repeated Oedipus' mistakes. From there, he speaks the following words after he realize he was wring in his actions of following Oedipus, "Great words, sprung from arrogance, are punished by great blows. (1351-2). Despite the fact Creon learns from his mistakes within Antigone as the king, he was a different character in each story because his perception changed through his horrible personal….....
