How many words should I write for a 30 minute essay?

  • Last Edited: December 19, 2018

We recommend each page should be roughly 4–6 minutes on the presentation side. Depending on the individual giving the presentation, that time can be stretched, specifically by going into more detail about each point included.

To play it safe I would go with a range of 6–7 pages or 1800–2100 words. (assuming one page is about 300 words per page). If you see that your presentation is moving slower than anticipated you can amp up the speed a bit to be within allocated time.
