On the whole this work is a fantastic read, and is very timely as the crusade history is still an important historical issue with regard to current religious and political institutions and conflicts. A greater understanding of the crusade period is essential to an understanding of current conflict as there is still a great deal of concern over the history of this early "colonial" movement.
