5. After evaluating the nonprofit organization's mission statement that you have selected, what changes would you make to the mission statement?

After evaluating the mission statement of the United Way I would add what products or services that they will offer or utilize in order to carry out their goals. I would also add by what means the mission is to be measured so that it would be easier to determine if it is being met or not. It would also be nice to have a definition of the common good, which would also allow for one to measure whether they are successful or not. The current mission statement is almost too brief in order to get across what they are trying to say and give it any true meaning.
