Kant on the nature of the mind

Kant insinuated that the intrinsic features of the mind are finally linked to the extrinsic stimuli of the surrounding or environment that it processes. What the mind tells a person or processes is what the surrounding has fed into it and not a noble never seen before phenomenon. He also adds that what the mind projects are only the images or the appearances and not the real things as they are in themselves. He backs his claims by indicating that time and space which are the master definers of all things that we see in real life, are two things that do not exists within the things that they define or describe but are a projection and making of our own sense. This is true since there is nothing to do with time in a car race that is scheduled to run for two hours, it is all about the cars racing but we as human beings have the conception of counting and fixing seconds and minutes into the duration that we set for the race. The victory comes to the person who completes the race within that time and the distance or space dictated, though these two do not have any existence in the race and the victory.


Law of causality/determinism

The traditional determinism principle states that anything that happens in the present is necessitated by precursor happenings. In most cases within metaphysics, determinism is viewed as a culmination of the past facts, in conjunction with the present laws of nature will show or carry the truth about the future. This therefore means, at least in philosophy, that when the history and the present laws of nature are held constant, then it is only possible to have one predetermined future at….....
