Reflection/Conclusion feel I learned a lot personally from this event. One thing I learned is that when tragedy strikes, people often react quickly. People offer support in any way then can, and demonstrate their support through various means, whether that is by wearing a t-shirt supporting a cause, by hugging another or sending money, or by sticking closer with friends and family to remind them of how much you love them. Conducting this research helped me connect better with my own feelings about culture and my own culture. Because I am from Korea, and I have my own background culture in Korea, I felt it useful to compare the cultural reaction of American and Korean people throughout this accident. I could not discern much difference between the two; most students, professors; faculty and administrators whether Korean or American felt equally how tragic this event was for all involved.

I would like in the future to conduct a study where I am more actively involved in the events in hand. It would be interesting to hold small focus groups to interview students of different cultures first in a segregated format, then together, to see whether student's opinions of others change when they are in the presence of members from their own culture or others.

This experience however, made me feel like a true American, which many refer to as a culture by itself. Just because people come from different ethnicities does not mean that we as the American people do not have a culture all our own. This culture is one that is supportive and nurturing when tragedy strikes.

Whether one chooses to affiliate more closely with one culture or another is an independent decision, but having participated in this event, I feel I am a true American, representative of a unified body of people that share similar cultural beliefs, ethical values and morals. Those ethical values and morals include coming together in the face of adversity and tragedy to support others and present a united front to anyone that might threaten our safety and security......
