Discussion/Conclusions

The researcher predicts that the information gathered from the literature review and field studies will suggest that multiple environmental and familial influences significantly impact adult African-American perceived job satisfaction and quality of work life. The researcher also intends to find that environment is a key indicator of job market prospects and opportunities available to adult African-Americans.

Much of the literature available currently suggests that strong familial relationships exist within this community, and that those relationships may either positively or negatively impact African-American's self-esteem and perceptions of their employment opportunities and work environment.
