Harley Davidson has an expanding business in the U.S. with many full service dealerships. The company believes in marketing and promotions and hence puts up much hard work for the purpose ranging from publications to special events, rallies, advertisements and public associations. The Harley Ownership Group (HOG) and Buell Riders Adventure Group (BRAG) are a part of the Harley Davidson responsible for promotional activities. For the cause of expanding its name and business Harley and Davidson has licensed a large varieties of products such as t shirts and toys. Besides it has also launched two cafes each in New York and Las Vegas. It has also created an academy for people aiming to become riders. An online program to increase its sales has also been created. Thus all these factors help towards a better marketing campaign for the Harley Davidson.

Harley Davidson still faces great competition in the field of manufacturing motorcycles. And some of the competitors even enjoy the benefit of having an edge over Harley in terms of money and marketing. Many companies are emerging or are merging together to give a tough competition to the Harley Davidson (for e.g. Polaris, a new company manufacturing motorcycles and the merging of Suzuki and Kawasaki).
But still it turns out that Harley Davidson is leading the industry.

In order to further improve their abilities Harley Davidson are improving their planning. New strategies are being sought so that they maintain their policy of standardized goods. Harley built a new plant in York so that they can improve their abilities of producing goods. The other company bought by Harley Davidson named Buell gave great profits to them in the recent years. Nowadays there is a great rise in the demand of heavyweight and sports bikes and this provides a great opportunity for the Harley Davidson to increase their sales. Thus in the recent years Harley Davidson has expanded in every area. Harley Davidson has made an impact on the motorcycles industry. 'It represents the symbol of American individualism and American rebelliousness'. It is expected that Harley Davidson will further expand in the recent years and will remain on the same standards due to its capability to keep the quality of products….....
