The study has confirmed the research hypothesis of poverty and inequality influencing the development of tuberculosis in the studied population. Researchers have also identified a new condition: Muslim females are more prone to the disease because of poor economic conditions and gender neglect. This is another issue that ensures how socio-economic factors influence tuberculosis. Another hypothesis tested by this research study is represented by the use of biomass fuel influencing tuberculosis. The study reflects that this is an important factor of influence in this case, and this situation can be observed in the case of Muslim women, more exposed to indoor pollution in comparison with men, because of intensive cooking using biomass fuel.
