Internet has Resulted in a Generation of Lazy Young People

There is no doubt that everything is moving much more quickly these days. Technology and the internet have definitely made our lives easier, evolving to meet almost every need that requires fulfillment, and accommodating a more convenient way of life. Our lives are increasingly becoming more and more effortless. In fact, with the right gadgets and apps, you can work, study, conduct business, and stay in touch with friends and family without having to get off your couch. Why walk all the way to the library when you can obtain answers on just about any question from Google and Wikipedia? Why have your friends over to disturb the peace when you can hold a quick video chat on Skype or Facetime? Why go through all the trouble of getting up from bed one Saturday morning to check whether the weather is ideal for some outdoor activities when you can check the weather directly from your device? This Millennial generation, as Rampell (WK3) points out, is a generation of slackers -- one not only less virtuous, but also less industrious when compared to those before it.

Back in the day, you had to make physical trips to the Rasputin Store to obtain a copy of your favorite musician's new album, or drive to the video store to rent a popular selection (The Next Web). Well, the internet came and changed all this.
