My MBTI assessment

According to my MBTI assessment results, I am

moderately expressed introvert moderately expressed intuitive personality slightly expressed thinking personality slightly expressed judging personality

There are many aspects of this personality review that I like and resonate with how I see myself. For example, it is said that INTJ personalities are called 'masterminds' who traditionally assume positions requiring a high degree of responsibility and dedication. They can also be objective when making decisions. However, it is noted that most of my traits are either only moderate or slightly expressed. This suggests that had I taken the test at a different time or even in a different mood, my results may have been slightly different.

The question of freedom of choice regarding major life decisions like careers is a complicated one. On one hand, having certain personality traits would seem to be an advantage for certain careers. Having a methodical and objective, judging and thinking mind would seem to be helpful in becoming a medical researcher, but without having an extroverted personality, the individual would be unlikely to succeed in a different scientific field, such as nursing, which required the individual to empathize with patients.

Furthermore, having certain personal characteristics can predispose an individual to prefer certain career paths over others. Someone who is extroverted would not be attracted to a career as a file clerk, which requires someone to be alone for substantial parts of the day.

However, the notion of personality assessment suggests a relatively fixed and unchanging model of the human character that can be frustrating. Many introverted people in high school become more extroverted in college, when they enter an environment that is more supportive of their differences. Personality is never an enclosed entity: different traits emerge when the individual is exposed to different environments.

However, although I am to some degree resistant to the idea that my 'type reading' automatically condemns me to behave in a certain fashion, taking a personality test can make people more mindful….....
