After finishing his undergraduate studies, he went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School in 1984 (HHS, 2023).Previous Profession and CareerBefore becoming the Secretary of HHS, Becerra had a career in public service. He served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2017, and represented Los Angeles in Congress.
