Loss of jobs: though most Americans are skilled unlike the unskilled Mexican population, there is a small number of Americans estimated at 10 million who lack high school degree who are under threat from job losses due to availability of cheap unskilled labor from the immigrants.

It is worth noting however, that the immigration issue does not only cover the Mexicans alone but also the Canadian immigrants into the U.S. As well. A good number of these are educated and skilled. What that portends for USA is that there would be someone who may take up a skilled job, at equal salary since they have same qualifications and education as an American. This may not benefit the community since it brings about the unfair competition for jobs between immigrants and the native-born Americans. Then again the issue of money circulation comes up since the Canadians will send the cash back to their country to circulate there, further hurting the American economy (the Boston Tea Party, 2011).

Hampering other industries: the Mexican population ahs been studied to be majority under the poverty line. Amazingly even those who have been in the U.S. For over 20 years and acquired legal citizenship, most still live under the poverty line and do not have even health insurance. This state makes them docile and non-participant in other aspects of national contribution.
Not even the insurance industry benefits from them.

Education levels: being that majority of the Mexican immigrants are stuck on the lower education caliber, they hold the education levels in these regions they occupy to lower standards unlike the other parts of the U.S.A. that have better standards. It is estimated that the dropout rate among the Mexicans is two and a half times that of other natives (Seattle Post. 2002).

Being that the unskilled labor issue is the root cause of all the immigrant problems, the U.S.A. should try to create a policy that will help alleviate the illiteracy problem within the immigrant population and with it will rise the cost of labor and other factors of economy as well. This is light of the fact that immigration may not go away any soon or not go away at all. A further confirmation would be the intended formation of the North American Union. If this comes to birth, then there will be a merger of Canada, USA and Mexico in the vital aspects of education, economy, and agriculture, military and political sovereignty. A model much similar to the European Union, this then means immigration will not be discussed since it would be more than obvious......
