Jean-Francois Lyotard (the Postmodern condition: A Knowledge Report 1979) describes postmodernism in the context of nature of social bond. He argues that due to the advent of the technology and with the invention of computer, information has been more restricted in the form of procedures and program. According to him some one must have access to all the information to check whether the decisions are madder correctly. He discuss in this paper about the language games which are gaining importance day by day as the communication is becoming so prominent and efficient. We can see the connecting point between Lyotard and Kuhn as well as Popper which also agree that truth is language dependent and textual interpretation vary from person to person so whole truth of knowledge is not absolutely conveyed.

PERSONAL REACTION and CRITIQUE:

Postmodernism seems to be overwhelmingly push everything into vagueness. The only thing according to postmodernism which is supposed to be certain is uncertainty. From the age of Plato till today, philosophers have tried to find out the mysteries of the natures. Reasoning being the source and finding logic or numeric answer which can satisfy human mind curiosity. As the time passes philosopher didn't just restrict their methods to make inquiry of the truth about any phenomenon, they practiced different methods and ideas, thus creating different school of thought. Arguments among the school of thoughts brought forward pros and cons of all and gave arise to new school of thought.

Postmodernism is also emerged as the balancing theory which negate the flaws of modernism.

Postmodernism mainly emphasized on non-existence of truth in its absolute form but I think it is only true to some extend as some truth are obvious, as whenever sun rises days starts, days and night occur in cyclic manner although exception cannot be fully denied but its probability is so rare that one might live to observe it. This particular point that any theory is not constituted based on satisfying number of experimental trails that all the possible exceptions are known. It is where postmodernism seems to be true. But it also challenges developed laws of sciences, theories of art and literatures. All the concepts are being challenged which are believed to be holistically true. Postmodernism do need some alternation and need to reduce the degree of vagueness. Truth can not be fully attainable but this doesn't mean that whatever is known and proven should also be doubted completely, room for improvement and advancement should always be considered.
