Sand-Jecklin, K., & Herman, J. (2014). A Quantitative Assessment of Patient and Nurse Outcomes of Bedside Nursing Report Implementation. Journal of Clinical Nursing, 23(19-20), 2854-2863.

This particular research piece is quantitative in nature. The basic analysis element in a study of this kind as Keele (2011) points out is statistical analyses and numbers. This is more so the case given that it generates data that could be transmuted into operational statistics, as it seeks to quantify the problem i.e. "quantify quantitative outcomes of a practice change to a blended form of bedside nursing report." It is clear that the authors in this case seek to quantify behaviors and opinions in an attempt to come up with results from a sample population that is significant. I selected this topic due to its relevance to clinical practice. Being a peer reviewed scientific journal, the integrity of papers it publishes is not in question.

There is need to better enhance learning opportunities by exploring how nursing students view, respond, and benefit from community-based clinical deployment. This is what informed my selection of this particular article. The Collegian: The Australian Journal of Nursing Practice, Scholarship and Research satisfies all the standards of a revered journal in nursing practice. The journal invites papers….....
