paired with a team of four. They were not just any team of four but a dynamic group, filled with such dedication, passion and zeal to come to work on time, and unleash any fresh ideas to finish the project. Our team got along and there was not one person that did not throw upon themselves to go the extra mile. In week one, we were given our assignments and then in week two I was placed with my group and as mentioned earlier, there were four. However, within the group, we all had various tasks given to us and mine was the Sofa Hotel. This was beneficial to the team because I personally know the company and I have contact with those that work in the organization.

In my experience with doing research on this hotel, I learned a lot just individually. For example, I found out that the Sofa Hotel in Istanbul offers luxury hotel, residence and restaurant services. I was also able to discover that most employees at the hotel carry out fairly menial tasks, but nonetheless, they need to remain professional, kind and service minded at all times. Define group and describe the stages of group development

As talked about before, the group behavior was fantastic. Everyone worked hard and pulled their own weight which made my job so much easier. People came to the table with ideas that were good and actually worked. It was not about everybody wanted to be a chief. In fact, we all listened to each other before moving forward. Our group was turned into an effective team because we learned how to respect each other's opinion. When a person was talking, the others listened and we all were respectful. This team understood from the start that communication was key. All of this was easy because of the lessons that we learned about teams. Around week three, we learned about motivation of the employees and the role of leadership in this area. As a group all of us made the decision to follow up on a company that we wanted to compare with Blenheim palace. The goal was to see if we had any kind contacts in HR of some other companies which we were able to compare with Blenheim palace's HR system. Then everyone in our group had numerous and dissimilar ideas. Later on, we started contacting and emailing our contacts so that we could get some kind of a response from them in a timely manner. Going forward, we came to the conclusion to meet every week among our discourses and meetings in order to chat about our progress. Every time we did this we were able to put our heads together and come up with other ideas for the project. In week five, it was all about learning different leadership Styles, the obligations of a Manager and What Managers do. A vivid account during this time, was hen one of Yim's contact chose to reply our questions concerning their recruitment and retention approaches.

Nevertheless, as a group, we decided to ask the questions after visiting Blenheim palace. Here, I was able to learn about their recruitment and retaining strategies so that I was able to ask the right questions to our company. My group helped prepare the questions to ask for both of the companies. An example that I was fascinated in asking was in regards to the employee structure. I was curious about this because I understood that they had an effective operation among the workers that seemed to be working. Around week five, we had a guest speaker from ELITE recruitment agency where he gave us information about Elite's core Values. The thing that stuck out to me the most about this guest speaker was when he spoke on the long-term relationships in a workplace and how to make sure employee supervisor relationships are proper.

When we met with Yim's contact as a group, I understood later that it was a very small corporation and soon learned found out that it is not the best option for us to work on, so we started brainstorming again to find any other companies. I came up with an idea, I have a connection in Turkey where I know the hotel very well so I contacted the HR manager. This woman was delighted to help me without any hesitation. and she was willing to help me. I asked our questions to the HR manager of the hotel nevertheless rather than answering one-by-one she referred to me various brochures of their strategy and archives, so I had to interpret every one of them ant it was close to 30 different files for my group project. The group was fond of the hotel so we all made the decision to just move forward with it. I also asked some other questions to the HR manager because some things were not clear and I wanted to get a better understanding.

Around week seven, just before Easter break, I went to the Elite agency just before Easter break and listened 8 interviews for the new employees that were working with the Elite. Later, I got the experience of scaling them 1 to 5 for their uniform, presentation skills, luxury brand awareness, team player, body language, grooming, descriptive vocabulary, communicates well and decided which brand they fit or if they don't fit to a brand at all. I thought that this was a very fun exercise just getting the chance to see the interview and then getting involved in the entire application process. With the group, I was able to meet after Elite and from there I took part in making sure that we decided who will work on what and how….....
