As discussed previously, seizure disorders can lead to a number of psychological disorders including depression, anxiety and social inhibitions. The limits these disorders place on normal social and working habits can be a great cause of stress for sufferers of seizure disorders and can often require intensive psychotherapeutic treatment in conjunction with pharmacological treatments.

Seizure disorders are difficult to live with both in terms of the physical symptoms as well as their psychological and behavioral symptoms.
