Self-Reflection:

Writing the proposal, annotated bibliography, and research argument on overfishing in the Pacific Ocean has been an exciting and challenging process. The exciting aspects of this task originate from the lessons and skills I have gained regarding the topic and on conducting research. This task has also provided me with a new perspective regarding the problem of overfishing across the globe, especially in the Pacific Ocean. On the contrary, this process has also had several complexities including the scarcity of previous researches that have been carried out regarding the issue. Most of the documented aspects on the issue of overfishing basically focus on the impact of the issue on Pacific island nations from an economic perspective. As a result, it was challenging to find resources that specifically address the issue in light of its increased practice in the Pacific Ocean.

Learned Experiences:

In-depth analysis is the major strength I have required as part of the learning experiences in the process of writing the papers. This strength has mainly been contributed by the fact that the problem of overfishing in the Pacific Ocean has not been examined by many researchers in the past. The scarcity of such resources contributed to the need to conduct a thorough evaluation and analysis of the issue of overfishing across the globe and in the Pacific islands in order to obtain insights on the extent and effect of the problem in the Pacific Ocean.

Through in-depth analysis of these studies, I have also been able to identifying the potential measures and solutions for addressing the issue.

Scarcity of Resources:

On the contrary, the learning experience while writing the papers has involved a major challenge of finding previous studies conducted on this issue. As previously mentioned, many researchers have only examined the problem of overfishing from a global perspective and from its practice in the Pacific island region. Actually, I could only identify one research article that focused on the problem of overfishing in the Pacific Ocean specifically. However, the article did not address the issue exhaustively, which resulted in the need to incorporate other studies that were related to the topic.

Research Problems and Complexities:

While examining the issue of overfishing in the Pacific Ocean, there were two major research problems and complexities emanating from the struggles and challenges I had to endure in the process.….....
