The development of leadership comes with not only "doing," but in learning to listen, to find opportunities to exert leadership in a number of ways, and to use leadership theory to buttress a tool box of information that will help in a variety of situations.

Goals will be measured and achieved based on three factors: personal inventory of success or failure; feedback from stakeholders; feedback (written and verbal) from supervisors.

Bibliographic sources on leadership theory, use of contemporary nursing theories (Watson, Lenninger, etc.) on specific aspects of leadership behavior, feedback from stakeholders.

Is this goal something that is realistically obtainable in a professional practice?

Yes, not only is the goal reasonable and realistic, it is necessary in order to actualize and become a better nurse leader.

What specific dates or weeks will you accomplish each task of your project goal?

Goals will be set by week, and broader, overall goals by month or quarter. Leadership issues are an ongoing and evolving process, and because of the nature of healthcare there are a number of variables that occur on a regular basis that may influence the teaching and learning moments.
