Accident Theories

US Jets remains committed firmly to safety-first policy that includes compliance with all pertinent regulations. As the primary aviation regulatory body in the United States, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) controls air traffic and maintains nationwide safety standards. In fact, California codes of regulations are drafted, issued, and enforced in conjunction with the FAA (California Code of Regulations, n.d.). Therefore, complying with the FAA will consistently be the number one concern of our company when it comes to the design and manufacture of mid-sized private jets.

Incident and accident theory

As extensions of human factors theory, incident and accident theory introduces additional elements such as ergonomic traps, which are related to management failure, as well as the conscious or unconscious personal errors that can lead to accidents (Cleveland State University Work Zone Safety and Efficiency Transportation Center, n.d.). Likewise, Heinrich's domino theory suggests that accidents do not happen as isolated incidents but as part of a causal chain of events. Safety professionals can use incident and accident and domino theories to predict, regulate, recognize, control, and mitigate hazards.
