Patient Care Prompts1For over three decades, I have dedicated myself to patient care, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and ClinTech. For me, it has always been a passion: my commitment to caring for patients stems from desire to help others, a desire that has defined my professional path and my personal identity. My life has been the life of a nurse: showing compassion, supporting people in their hour of need, giving them hope and comfort, and helping them to feel empowered at times when they felt anything but. Ultimately, I have been motivated by a sense of being able to just make difference in people’s lives.My interest in nursing was ignited early in life, as some of the people I admired most were nurses and dedicated their lives to the art and science of the field. Once I became old enough to make a decision about a career path, it was an easy choice: nursing was the only thing I wanted to do. 30+ years later I can truly say I have no regrets. I have so many personal and professional experiences in patient care that have helped to confirm dedication to this field over the years.
