Worldview

A framework that an individual uses to view reality and which helps the individual to make sense of life, as well as the world around, is described as a worldview.

According to David Noebel, author of Understanding the Times, "[It's] any ideology, philosophy, theology, movement or religion that provides an overarching approach to understanding God, the world and man's relations to God and the world," (Ministry, 2016).

For most Christians, the Word of God is the basis of worldview. The basis of such worldview assumes that whatever is said in the Bible is true and the view of the world is directed as described in the Bible (Durlak, 2008)

Others hold worldview as a set of beliefs that are used for obtaining an understanding of the world. Critics say that everyone has a worldview and which could be different from one another. People use their own set of principles that help an individual to judge what is right and what is wrong in the world and which helps to guides that individual in everyday living.

As a thinking species almost all human being sometimes or the other have spent time thinking about. Such philosophical questions, for example, could be 'where did we come from?', 'why are we here?', 'what happens to us after we die?' and 'did we evolve or were we created?'

The Christian worldview is based on a set of values that provides some answers to such philosophical questions that also constitute a guide for the worldview (Ryken, 2006).

Most Christians believe in the existence of an absolute God and as such is self-sufficient and lacks nothing. This also entails that he is eternal and does not change (Rice, 2009). It is also the belief that the creator of the world is God. It also shows that God is all powerful and there is no one else in the universe who is powerful than him. It also means that God is not a part of creation as he is the creator and thus the nature of God would be reflected in His creation in exactly the way a painter leaves an impression about himself through on his painting. Therefore, creation in the Christian view is ordered, predictable and dependable.

The Christian worldview is also based on the belief that man was created by God and hence the impression of God is present in the hearts and soul of all human beings. Thus, the worldview of a person who believes that God is the creator also believes that Gods order is present in the world. Again since every person is created by God and God has some impression on every person's souls, hence every person has to be respected.

Spirituality also believes that mankind has fallen right from the tie of Adam and has a natural tendency to gravitate towards corruption and hence there has to be checks and balances to stop that from happening.….....
