Formality is not the only issue regarding dress. A person who comes to the gym looking like he or she is more ready for a fashion spread than a serious workout and does not wear the correct shoes for the activities he or she attempts to perform makes a negative statement about his or her commitment to fitness. So does a repair worker not dressed in coveralls, or even a nurse or doctor with carefully done nails or an expensive shirt who seems more interested in protecting her manicure and/or attire than treating patients.


Finally, dressing appropriately also makes the individual 'feel good' about performing the activity. The care in getting ready for an interview helps the candidate mentally prepare for the gravity of the task. Wearing sneakers and loose-fitting clothing gives your body the ability to move freely in the gym.
